Title:
VIBRATION SOLIDIFICATION CASTING APPARATUS
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2011167728
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a vibration solidification casting apparatus which optimizes vibration conditions including the two parameters of centrifugal force and frequency prescribed as the vibration conditions to vibrate a mold, and can suppress the fining of the macro-crystal grains of the metallic structure produced in a solidification process and the generation of a cavity defect, with respect to a vibration solidification casting technique.

The vibration solidification casting apparatus 1 includes a cavity 3 to be filled with a molten metal; a mold 7 formed separably into at least two or more; and a vibrator 2 fitted to the mold 7 and applying vibration to the molten metal when the molten metal filled into the cavity 3 is solidified and the casting of a casting product is performed. In the vibrator 2, vibrating conditions are set in such a manner that frequency is 5 to 5,000 Hz and centrifugal force is 0.1 to 10 kN.
