PURPOSE: To provide a vibration type grinder for a wire material which can eliminate roughness and distortion, which are generated in molding, on a wire material surface without restricted by the length of the wire material in finishing of the wire material made of hard material.

CONSTITUTION: In a grinding tank 1 formed setting its longitudinal direction in the lateral direction, a wire material L is continuously passed in the lateral direction, and in a through hole through which the wire material L penetrates, wire material supporting guiding apparatuses 3a, 3b, 5a, 5b, in which wire material supporting guide holes are pierced according to the diameter of the wire material, are fitted freely removably. Outside the grinding tank 1, the wire material L is connected to wire material feeders 6a, 6b, and inersedly travels inside a grinding media M at a constant speed while supported at multiple points by means of wire mounting mechanisms 7a, 7b and the like. Ground dust generated in grinding is mixed with water fed into the inside of the grinding tank part 10 from a water inlet 13, and is discharged to a drain mechanism Q provided with a dust collecting mechanism via drain ducts 11a, 11b while stirred by vibration.
