A video correcting apparatus for a vehicle is provided with an imaging part 1 for imaging the video around the vehicle, an image processing part 2 for inputting the video imaged by the imaging part 1 and executing image correction processing for the video, and a display part 3 for inputting the video image correction processing of which is carried out by the image processing part 2 and displaying the video. In the video correcting apparatus for the vehicle, the image processing part 2 sets a specific position which is a reference for image correction processing in the video imaged by the imaging part 1 and shifts the video part of a horizontal direction in the vertical direction with respect to the specific position to linearly correct distortion in the video in the width direction of the vehicle.
