PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video recording apparatus capable of efficiently recording a TV program meeting user's tastes.SOLUTION: Second video-recording reservation means preferentially reserves video recording of a first program that is not a candidate of first reservation of video recording among programs meeting retrieval conditions. After setting for reserving the video recording of the first program is performed, if it is possible to reserve the video recording of a second program that meets the retrieval conditions and is a target of the first reserving of video recording, the second video-recording reservation means reserves the video recording of the second program.
