Abstract:
PURPOSE:To secure the picture quality of (n) times as high as that obtained in motion picture made and also to use peripheral circuits of an image pickup element in common with each other, by recording (n) signals underwent space offset in a still picture mode and then synthesizing these (n) signals in a reproduction mode. CONSTITUTION:A half mirror 2 is set at a position 2b in a still picture mode and a shutter 1 is opened in the exposure periods t1-t2. Then the switches SW-1 and SW-2 are connected to a contact A by a sequence controller. The signals (F-1)S-1 and (F-2)S-1 are read out of a sensor S-1. Then the switches SW-1 and SW-2 are connected to a contact B and signals (F-1)S-2 and (F-2)S-2 are read out. The operation completes at a time point t3. These output signals have the same output style as those of a motion picture mode and can be recorded by a conventional VTR. In a reproduction mode a frame memory is used to store temporarily plural space-offset signals into plural frame memories. Then these signals are extracted out of the memories and synthesized. Thus a desired pattern is obtained.
