PURPOSE: To reproduce a picture with good quality without noise bar, by selecting a frequency of wobbling to a frequency being an odd number of times of a frame frequency of a video signal and cancelling a level fluctuation and a time axis fluctuation attended with the wobbling with two heads.

CONSTITUTION: Rotary magnetic heads 4, 5 having the same azimuth angle are supported movably in the direction of rotary shaft with piezoelectric bimorphs 6 and 7. Then, the shift of the heads 4, 5 from a recording track caused at the reproduction of different tape speed from that at recording is corrected with the bimorphs 6 and 7. In this case, a sinusoidal wave oscillation having a frequency being an odd number of times of the frame frequency of a TV signal is provided to the bimorphs 6 and 7. Further, the level fluctuation of a reproduced output from the heads 4 and 5 is utilized to obtain the amount of shift of the heads from the recording track. The amount of shift is compensated with the bimorphs 6 and 7.
