Title:
WASTE GAS PURIFYING METHOD
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3579745
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To efficiently remove nitrogen oxides from a waste gas containing excess oxygen in addition to the nitrogen oxides and hydrocarbons by using a zeolite incorporated with Pd and Fe as a catalyst.
CONSTITUTION: In removing the nitrigen oxides from the waste gas containing excess oxygen, the nitrogen oxides and hydrocarbons, the zeolite incorporated with Pd and Fe is used as the catalyst. Content of Pd is preferably about 0.01-1.0 expressed in terms of a PdO/Al2O3 mol ratio, and more preferably about 0.05-0.4. Content of Fe is preferably about 0.2-2.5 expressed in terms of an FeO/Al2O3 mol ratio, and more preferably about 0.8-2.0. Also, the hydrocarbons contained in the waste gas is not especially limited but the catalyst can efficiently purify a waste gas even concerning that in which a main component of the hydrocarbons is methane.
