Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a water-absorbing resin containing a specific phosphoric acid salt, effective for preventing ill-odor, having high safety and useful for sanitary material, etc., such as paper diaper.
CONSTITUTION: The objective water-absorbing resin is produced e.g. by incorporating a water-absorbing resin such as poly(meth)acrylic acid salt with preferably 0.05-2% of a phosphoric acid salt expressed by formula (M1 is one or more univalent metal ion selected from silver, copper, zinc, tin, mercury, lead, iron, cobalt, nickel, manganese, arsenic, antimony, bismuth, barium, cadmium and chromium; A is one or more m-valent ion selected from alkali metal ion, alkaline earth metal ion, ammonium ion and hydrogen ion; M2 is tetravalent metal; (n) is 0-6; (a) and (b) are positive numbers; a+mb is 1 or 2; c is 2 and d is 3 when a+mb=1, and c is 1 and d is 2 when a+mb=2).
