Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-based ink composition for a ball point pen which allows continuous writing even with the tip pointed upward and enables handwriting transferred onto a sheet of paper to dry quickly.SOLUTION: A water-based ink composition for a ball point pen contains at least a colorant, water, an organic solvent and a lipid peptide represented by the general formula (1) in the figure. [R1 is a C9-C23 alkyl group; and R2 and R3 are each H, a C1-C7 alkyl group, a phenylmethyl group, a phenylethyl group or a -(CH)-X group (X is a nitrogen-containing group).]SELECTED DRAWING: None
