PURPOSE: To obtain a coating compsn. capable of forming a coating film capable of keeping high levels of water repellency and oil repellency over a long time by incorporating thereinto a fluorinated arom. compd.
CONSTITUTION: The title compsn. contains a fluorinated arom. compd. (e.g. perfluoroperhydroanthracene). It can form a coating film capable of keeping high levels of water repellency and oil repellency over a long time. The fluorinated arom. compd. to be used is obtained, for example, through a direct reaction of an arom. compd. (arom. compd. having a 7- or less-membered ring, such as pitch or anthracene) with fluorine in a gaseous phase or in an inert fluid. This compsn., when used as a top coating for cars, household appliances, electronic and electrical equipments, furniture, etc., made of a steel material, a plastic material, etc., can keep a good water repellency and a good oil repellency over a long time.
