Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water purification device capable of heating active carbon uniformly at a high speed by a method wherein the active carbon is heated by using a heating element wherein a heating area per unit volume to heat the active carbon is wide, and heating can be uniformly executed.
SOLUTION: This water purification device is equipped with a heating element 102 for recovering a removal capacity by heating active carbon 101 for removing bleaching powder and trihalomethane, a container 103 storing the active carbon 101 and the heating element 102, a high-frequency electric power supply means 105 for supplying high-frequency electric power to a heating coil 104 for induction-heating the heating element 102 from outside the container 103, an active carbon temperature measuring means 106 for measuring the temperature of the active carbon, and a process control means 107 for controlling the operation of the high-frequency electric power supply means 105 and the active carbon temperature measuring means 106. A metal sheet is formed in the heating element 102 so that at least a part becomes an electrically closed circuit.
