Abstract:
To provide a water tank for a railway vehicle of high durability.SOLUTION: A water tank for a railway vehicle is composed of a rectangular cross sectional cylindrical barrel part 4 fixed under a floor board 2 of a railway vehicle and an end plate 5 closing at least one opening of the cylindrical barrel part 4 water-tightly. The end plate 5 is composed of a rectangular plate shape body part and a bent plate part provided bent for an edge on each side of the body. An end surface of the opening of the cylindrical barrel part 4 and an end surface of the bent plate part are bonded by butt-welding. A reinforcement member 7 fixed inside the cylindrical barrel part 4, and a wave removing plate 9 are fillet-welded on a front surface and a back surface of the bent plate part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
