Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure weaterproof function between the housing of a plug-in instrument and a front cover through simple structure and simple manufacturing process.
SOLUTION: Opening of a box type case 7 is closed with a front cover 9 to form an instrument housing 1 which is then applied with an elastic frame packing 15 excellent in waterproof function. Bending pieces 29 project outward from the outer circumference of the packing 15. The instrument housing 1 is then inserted into the fixing hole of a panel 17 from the back side and secured to the panel 17 with the packing 15 being sandwiched between the flange 3 of the case 7 and the panel 17. When the cover 11 is applied to the front cover 9, the bending pieces 29 are contained in the containing groove 35 of the cover 11 while being bent toward the panel 17 side by means of the side wall and brought into pressure contact with the side wall.
