To obtain a waterproofing composition excellent in storage stability, capable of giving a coating film excellent in appearance and mechanical strength when cured, and suitable for waterproofing a building material by mixing a reactive-silicon-group-containing polyether oligomer in which the reactive silicon groups exist on only molecular terminals with a filler.
This composition is obtained by mixing (A) a reactive-silicon- group-containing polyether oligomer in which the reactive silicon groups exist on only molecular terminals and the rate of the introduced reactive silicon groups is at least 85%, on the average, based on the molecular terminals with (B) a filler. The reactive silicon groups existing on molecular terminals of component A is desirably a group represented by the general formula:-[Si(R12-b)(Xb)O]m. In the formula, R1 and R2 is a 1-20C alkyl, a 6-20C aryl, a 7-20C aralkyl, or a triorganosiloxy represented by the formula: (R')3SiO-; R' is a 1-20C monovalent hydrocarbon group; X is hydroxyl or a hydrolyzable group; a is 0-3; b is 0-2; m is 0-19; and a+Σb≥1.
