Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve yield strength of welded joints by forming a bevel on a butt end face of a horizontal stiffener at a column side having a high strength and a large thickness and also forming a vertical butt end face of a flange portion having a small thickness and by performing butt welding. SOLUTION: A bevel is formed to a butt end face 8a of a diaphragm 8 having a large plate thickness provided as a horizontal stiffener at the column side, also, a butt face 6a of a flange 6 at the end portion of a beam 4 is formed vertically, and butt welding is performed between the butt faces 6a and 8a. In addition, a scallop 16 is notched and formed in a web portion 12 of a beam 4 adjacent to the butted portion, a lining metal 18 is installed on the lower surface along the butt portion through the scallop portion 16. Next, a web 1 at the column side and a web 12 of a beam 4 connecting diaphragms 8 longitudinally are tightened and fixed by high tension bolts through the bracket. Thus, the plastic deformation ability of the members and frame structure can be fully realized and energy absorption during a great earthquake can be effectively performed.
