PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a winding type windbreak and snow protection fence, which constitutes a wall surface in the case of a strong wind and a snowfall, damps side-wind force, ensures the safety traveling of a car by weakening a snow cover on a road surface and does not damage a landscape by assuring the visual range in the case of a comparatively stable gentle atmospheric state and in which a net is stretched and wound easily.
SOLUTION: Adjacent supports 1 are composed of upper supports 4 and base-section supports 3, winding rollers 12 are installed in parallel at on one side faces of the upper supports 4 and ring bodies 14 are mounted on the other side faces in the vertical direction of the supports. Each one end of the nets 2 is fixed onto the winding roller 12, hooks 34 are secured at the other ends and hooked detachably to the ring bodies 14 for the adjacent supports and the nets 2 are respectively stretched between the upper supports 4. The upper supports 4 are supported pivotally to the base-section supports 3 in an inclinable manner on the stretching-direction sides of the nets. Balance weights 28 are fitted on the reverse sides to the tiling sides of the upper supports 4 in the lower sections of the upper supports 4, and the upper supports 4 are held under a horizontal state in the case that the upper supports 4 are tilted.
