A radio connection setting system has; a management server 8 provided with a storage device wherein communication environment information required for connection to hot spots 5 to 7 is stored in association with mail addresses capable of uniquely discriminating respective hot spots; and a mobile phone 1 capable of connecting to hot spots 5 to 7. When one of these mail addresses is inputted and a prescribed indication input is performed on the mobile phone 1, a communication environment information request mail is transmitted to the inputted mail address in accordance with the indication input, and then the management server 8 receives the communication environment information request mail. The management server 8 acquires communication environment information from the storage device on the basis of the destination mail address of the received communication environment information request mail and transmits a reply mail to the mobile phone 1. The mobile phone 1 sets a connection on the basis of communication environment information included in the reply mail.
