To provide a wireless LAN communication circuit the power consumption of which can be reduced by decreasing the power consumption of an analog circuit without the need for applying much modification to conventional circuits.
The wireless LAN communication circuit is provided with an RF processing section 11 for carrying out modulation, on the basis of a transmission signal, and demodulating a received RF signal for generating a received signal; a baseband processing section 12 that encodes transmission data, uses a DAC to convert the encoded transmission data into a transmission signal, outputs the transmission signal to the RF processing section, uses an ADC to convert the received signal, received from the RF processing section, into received data, and decodes the data; an access processing section 17 that carries out processing associated with access control between apparatuses in a wireless LAN; and a control section 18, that acquires data length information of one frame in the transmission or reception from the access processing section and controls the switching of ON/OFF state of the ADC or DAC, on the basis of the data length information.
