To provide a wooden folding chair capable of being easily and safely folded and keeping a stable leg opening state even in the application of a rather heavy load to a seat part when opening the legs.
This chair comprises, as legs, rear legs 1 having a seatback face 4, front legs 2 located in the lower surface of a seat part 11 and support legs 3, and a deformable square frame is formed by an armrest part 8 located horizontally, the rear leg 1 located substantially vertically to the seat part 11, and the front leg 2 through pivotal support parts 9a, 9b, and 9c, and a support bar 13. In leg opening, the seat part 11 is allowed to successively abut on the support leg upper end 12 and a proper position of the middle part of the front leg 2 toward the outside from the laterally middle side surfaces, and the rear leg 1 is placed on the support leg 13 simultaneously with the front leg 2 and the support leg 3 are opened in a truncated chevron shape with a laterally extending support bar 13. In leg closing, the whole body is folded while separating the rear leg 1 from the support leg 3 by the rotation of a link tool 16 for connecting the rear leg 1 and the support leg 3.
