PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to adequately pick up an image of a work-piece.SOLUTION: A coating apparatus 100 includes: a coating robot 3 which works for a vehicle body 1; a camera 5 for picking up an image of the vehicle body 1; a lighting device 6 which illuminates the vehicle body 1; and a control device 100 which controls the coating robot 3 on the basis of the image picked up by the camera 5. The lighting device 6 is an indirect lighting device which indirectly illuminates the vehicle body 1. The control device 100 adjusts exposure of the camera 5 on the basis of a reflection property of the vehicle body 1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
