To provide a work positioning equipment which can position works in a non contact state with respect to a peripheral section, without using a positioning jig.
The work-positioning equipment comprises a frame body 25 for supporting a work, a work chuck device 34, work detectors 45, 46, and a work detector 47. The frame body 25 can move linearly in x- and y-axis direction, which cross at right angles and can also turn with respect to a plane parallel to a plane, including the x and y axes. The work chuck device 34 chucks the work supported by the frame body 25 from the lower face to fix it to the frame body 25. The work detectors 45, 46 disposed at a distance in the y direction, so that they can detect a leading edge in the x direction of the work, when the frame body 25 moves in the x direction. The work detector 47 detects a side edge of the work, when the frame body 25 moves in the y direction.
