PURPOSE: To eliminate step differences of a holding part and fraying, and to enhance its strength by winding a flexible belt-like rubber body to a free end of the outside layer, welding the rubber body at a high temperature, and holding both the free ends, in a rope woven to a rope body.
CONSTITUTION: A free end part 1 of a wire rope (a) is turned back in an inverted U-shape, also the end part 1 is woven into a wire rope body a-1 by forming a full inserted shape three times and a half inserted shape two times, a loop-like eye part 2 is formed, and also leveling is executed uniformly from an inserting port 3 to the inserting end direction so that the end part 1 and the body (a) cannot be discriminated. Subsequently, a flexible thin belt-like rubber body 6 is wound around an inside layer free end 4 formed in the full inserted shape part, and an outside layer free end 5 formed in the half inserted shape part, and the free ends 4, 5 are held by welding the rubber body 6 at a high temperature. In this way, step differences of the holding part and fraying are eliminated, and its strength can be increased.
