Abstract:
To improve the water resisting secondary adhesion and blackening resistance of a Zn-Mg plated steel sheet by reducing the concn. of Mg only in the surface layer.
In this Zn-Mg plated steel sheet, a Zn-Mg plating layer is formed on the surface of a steel sheet, and the concn. of Mg in the surface layer part of the plating layer is reduced to ≤1wt.% by phosphoric acid pickling. The steel sheet is produced by forming a Zn-Mg plating layer on the surface of a steel sheet by a vapor deposition method and thereafter immersing the plated steel sheet in a phosphoric acid pickling bath having 0.01 to 30wt.% phosphoric acid concn.
