Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air cleaner of an internal combustion engine which attains high sound absorption effect for suction noise.SOLUTION: An air cleaner 10 of an internal combustion engine includes: an air cleaner element 13 which filters air; an air cleaner case 11 which houses the air cleaner element 13; and an inlet duct 21 which introduces air into the air cleaner case 11. The inlet duct 21 has an extension part 22 extending into the air cleaner case 11. A communication hole 25 penetrating through the extension part 22 is provided at the extension part 22 and enables communication between the interior and the exterior of the extension part 22. A sound absorption material 30 covering the communication hole 25 is attached to the extension part 22.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
