Abstract:
To provide an air-cooled internal combustion engine capable of effectively cooling a cylinder head by a traveling wind.SOLUTION: An air-cooled internal combustion engine is suspended in a posture in which a cylinder part (42) and a cylinder head (43) are sequentially stacked from a crank case (41) toward the front of a vehicle. In the engine, among cooling fins (CR) that are sequentially formed on a side surface (42R) of the cylinder part (42) from the cylinder head (43) side to the crank case (41) side, the second cylinder part side surface cooling fin (CR2), which is second from the cylinder head (43) side, has the largest protrusion amount and is larger in protrusion amount than a cooling fin (HR7) on a side surface of the cylinder head, which has the largest protrusion amount among the cylinder head side surface cooling fins (HR).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
