Abstract:
To provide a balloon catheter and a catheter system capable of advancing a balloon in a living body lumen stably and efficiently applying push-in force to a lesioned part from the balloon.SOLUTION: A catheter system 10 includes a balloon catheter 12 having a balloon 22. A protruding part 22b protruding in a tip direction from a tip opening 54 of the balloon 22 in a state that the balloon 22 is caused to protrude to the maximum from the tip opening 54 is provided with a first protrusion 82 extending in the tip direction from the tip opening 54, and a second protrusion 84 positioned more in the tip direction than the first protrusion 82. An outer diameter D3 of the first protrusion 82 is larger than an outer diameter D4 of the second protrusion 84.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
