Abstract:
To provide a batter mix that easily melts in water during its preparation and suppresses formation of undissolved lumps.SOLUTION: A batter mix contains 0.005-0.04 mass% of particulate silicon dioxide. There are also provided a batter in which the batter mix is mixed with water, and a food cooked using the batter. Preferably, the batter mix further contains heated wheat flour. The batter mix can be used as raw materials for fried food or baked food. More preferably, the batter mix contains the heated wheat flour of 2 mass% or less.SELECTED DRAWING: None
