Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tube type collision detection device for a vehicle, capable of securing sufficient pressure detection performance by a tube member.SOLUTION: The collision detection device 1 for a vehicle includes a bumper absorber 2 disposed in a vehicle bumper 7, a detection tube member 3 fixed to a groove part 2a formed in the rear surface 2b of the bumper absorber 2 in a car width direction, disposed on the vehicle front side of a bumper reinforcement 9 (rigid member) and having a hollow part 3 formed inside, and a pressure sensor for detecting pressure in the hollow part 3a, and detects the collision of an object (pedestrian) with a bumper 7 based on the pressure detection result of the pressure sensor. In the front face 9a of the bumper reinforcement 9, at a position facing the detection tube member 3, a recess 9c capable of housing at least a part of the detection tube member 3 deformed by pressing from the bumper absorber 2 is formed along the car width direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
