Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a desulfurization method of molten steel capable of achieving high desulfurization efficiency when conducting desulfurization using a fluorine-less desulfurization agent in a vacuum degassing step.SOLUTION: The desulfurization method of molten steel is provided in which when the molten steel is refined by: heating powder supplied through a top-blowing lance arranged in vacuum degassing equipment, using burner flame formed at a tip of the top-blown lance ; and spraying the powder onto a bath surface of the molten steel in a degassing tank, a premix flux is used as the powder, the premix flux having a composition of CaO and AlOsatisfying 1.2≤(CaO)/(AlO)≤4.0 and the premix flux having a form of a mixture with the CaO powder and the AlOpowder.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
