Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pixel enlarging sheet that can be integrated with a display device or attached later to a display device without requiring strict positioning and that makes a black matrix less visible even when the display device is observed in an enlarged state, and a display device and a goggle type display device using the pixel enlarging sheet.SOLUTION: The display device includes a pixel and a pixel enlarging sheet for enlarging the pixel, which is disposed for use between the pixel and an observer and has a configuration as a diffractive optical element for at least shaping light. The pixel enlarging sheet includes a diffractive layer that has: a high refractive index part where a plurality of projections is arranged in a cross-sectional shape; and a low refractive index part including a recess formed at least between the above projections and having a refractive index lower than that of the high refractive index part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
