Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device for a vehicle and an on-vehicle system that enable improvement in convenience when displaying simple navigation information in a display unit from a portable terminal.SOLUTION: An HUD device 200 displays vehicle information and is communicatably connected to a portable telephone 100 provided with a navigation function of performing a route guidance up to a destination. The HUD device 200 comprises: a display unit 206 that displays the vehicle information; a notification unit (display unit 206) that performs a prescribed notification operation; a radio communication interface 204 that receives navigation information about a route to the destination from the portable telephone 100 and notification information providing a notification that the route guidance is in execution; and a control unit 201 that causes the navigation information received by the radio communication interface 204 to be displayed in the display unit 206, and when the notification information is received by the radio communication interface 204, causes the notification unit to perform the notification operation.
