Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress generation of noise without adding components.SOLUTION: A second power supply device 20 allowed to operate in a current discontinuous mode to step down a voltage outputted from a first power supply device 13 and supply the voltage to a light source 30 includes at least: an inductor 23; a switching element 24 for supplying energy from the first power supply device 13 to the inductor 23 by turning on the switching element 24 and cutting off the supply of the energy from the first power supply device 13 to the inductor 23 by turning off the switching element 24 to discharge accumulated in the inductor 23; and a control device 14 for controlling the switching element 24. The control device 14, after turning the switching element 24 from ON to OFF, controls the switching element 24 from OFF to ON during a period from one switching of polarity of a current flowing into the inductor 23 to three switching of the polarity in a free oscillation period of the current flowing into the inductor 23.
