Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a map information processing system and map information processing method capable of displaying a map by quickly and accurately retrieving the map based on map information of the same position as a deformation map image.SOLUTION: The map information processing system includes a deformation map image acquisition part 2 for acquiring a deformation map image in which at least a facility is shown, a map information acquisition part 3 for acquiring map information that is more detailed than information shown in the deformation map image, a collation part 4 for collating a character string shown at an edge of a road in the deformation map image acquired by the deformation map image acquisition part 2 with the map information acquired by the map information acquisition part 3, and a display control part 5 for performing control so as to display a map based on map information at the same position as the deformation map information on the basis of a collation result of the collation part 4. The display control part 5 performs control so as to display the facility shown in the deformation map image on the map.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
