Abstract:
To perform printing with stable image magnification through the period of use of an image forming apparatus.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus comprises: an intermediate transfer belt 8 to which a toner image formed on a photoconductor drum 1 of an image forming unit S is transferred; a secondary transfer roller 15 that forms a secondary transfer nip part N2 and transfers the toner image on the intermediate transfer belt 8 to a transfer material P; a registration roller 14 that is arranged upstream of the secondary transfer roller 15 in a transfer material conveyance direction and conveys the transfer material P to the secondary transfer nip part N2; an intermediate transfer motor M1 that drives a drive roller 9 rotating the intermediate transfer belt 8; a feeding motor M2 that drives the registration roller 14; and a control unit 70 that controls the rotation speed of the intermediate transfer motor M1 and the feeding motor M2. The control unit 70 adjusts the rotation speed of the feeding motor M2 based on the frictional force between the intermediate transfer belt 8 and the transfer material P at the secondary transfer nip part N2 and the relationship between the frictional force and the image magnification of an image transferred to the transfer material P at the secondary transfer nip part N2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
