Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging element and the like that can reduce difference in the color balance between a first pixel region including phase difference pixels and a second pixel region not including any pixels outputting an effective phase difference pixel signal.SOLUTION: An imaging element includes: a first pixel region including image pixels and phase difference pixels; and a second pixel region including image pixels but not including any pixels outputting an effective phase difference pixel signal. In the plurality of phase difference pixels in the first pixel region, some are arranged at a regular position where a G filter in a Bayer array is formed, and others are arranged at an irregular position where a filter other than G is formed. A basic arrangement pattern P2 of filters in the second pixel region is equal to a basic arrangement pattern of filters in the first pixel region R1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
