Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pump which enables improvement of pump efficiency, and to provide an improvement method for an existing pump.SOLUTION: A pump includes: a casing in which a suction chamber communicating with a suction port and a discharge chamber communicating with a discharge port are formed and liquid flows into the suction chamber and the discharge chamber; a main shaft penetrating through the casing; and an impeller which is fixed to the main shaft, housed in the casing, and discharges fluid in the suction chamber to the discharge chamber. The discharge chamber has a first coating part on which a coating agent is laminated on at least a part of an inner wall being a surface on which the liquid flows. The first coating part has surface roughness smaller than surface roughness of a surface of the inner wall on which the coating agent is laminated.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
