Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To interpret a date and time condition intended by a user from an ambiguous time expression included in a search query on the basis of a prediction model, to reflect this on a search condition to enable accurate information search, to update the prediction model on the basis of the response of the user to the search result, and thereby to reflect the date and time condition intended by the user for the ambiguous time expression on the prediction model.SOLUTION: A prediction model to predict a quantitative time expression from an ambiguous time expression is registered to a prediction model DB4. A date and time range prediction unit 6 applies an ambiguous time expression included in a search query to the prediction model DB4 and thereby predicts a date and time range corresponding to the ambiguous time expression. A web search function unit 7 performs information search on the basis of a search request including prediction results of the search query and the date and time range, and displays a list of the search result on a display 3. A user response detection unit 8 detects a response of a user to the search result, and a prediction model update unit 9 updates the prediction model on the basis of the response of the user.
