Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method that improves oxygen reduction activity and durability of a platinum core shell catalyst.SOLUTION: The production method includes a step of improving oxygen reduction activity and durability of a platinum core shell catalyst. The step is characterized by allowing a platinum core shell catalyst having a core particle including palladium and a platinum shell formed on a surface of the core to coexist with metallic copper in a sulfuric acid aqueous solution, and blowing air (oxygen gas) into the solution.
