Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing BDNPA having high safety and a high recovery rate.SOLUTION: There is provided a method for producing bis-(2,2-dinitropropyl)acetal by continuously reacting a mixture solution of (A) 2,2-dinitropropanol and (B) an acetaldehyde source in the presence of (C) an acid in a flowing passage of a flow-through type reactor, where the (C) acid is a solid acid disposed in the flowing passage, the reaction temperature in the flowing passage is 0 to 50°C, the mixing ratio (molar ratio) of the component (A) to the component (B) (where the component (B) is expressed in terms of acetaldehyde) is 0.5 to 1.0 and a polar solvent is not used as the reaction solvent.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
