Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal air secondary battery which can be charged and discharged over a long period of time by preventing a by-product produced by charge and discharge from being built up on an electrode.SOLUTION: A metal air secondary battery comprises: an air electrode layer; a negative electrode layer; and an electrolyte layer. The negative electrode layer includes a negative electrode for metal air secondary battery use; the negative electrode for metal air secondary battery use is arranged by covering a metal electrode layer with a porous layer so as to be in contact with the porous layer. In the metal air secondary battery, the porous layer of the negative electrode for metal air secondary battery use is in contact with the electrolyte layer. A raw material composition of the porous layer comprises at least one selected from a group consisting of an oxide-based material and a carbon-based material.
