Abstract:
To provide a travel-in-column system capable of dispersing a load endured by the road.SOLUTION: A travel-in-column system includes a vehicle control system incorporated in each of plural vehicles forming a column thereof. The vehicle control system controls a vehicle itself so as to follow a preceding vehicle through wireless communication with the preceding vehicle. A vehicle control system of a following vehicle CS2 that follows the preceding vehicle CS1 controls a travel of the vehicle itself so that a tire track of the vehicle itself does not overlap with a tire track of the preceding vehicle CS1 that precedes the vehicle itself. For example, the vehicle control system of the following vehicle CS2 controls the travel of the vehicle itself so that a travel track (R2) of the vehicle itself shifts toward a vehicular width direction by an offset amount ΔW in relation with a travel track (R1) of the vehicle CS1 that precedes the vehicle itself.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
