Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polarizing plate having durability.SOLUTION: A polarizing plate includes a polarizer 10, a pair of protective films 21, 22 arranged on both principal planes of the polarizer 10, and a polarizer gap part 30 formed by positioning an end face 10a of the polarizer 10 more inward in a surface direction than end faces 21a, 22a of the protective films 21, 22. Further, the polarizer gap part 30 is formed at a location 15 μm or more inward in the surface direction from the end faces of the protective films 21, 22, or the polarizer gap part 30 is formed at an end part in an absorption axis direction of the polarizer 10.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
