Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique that heightens the accuracy of estimating the position of a mobile terminal that transmits a wireless signal.SOLUTION: A position estimation device according to one aspect of the present invention holds the set value of an attenuation parameter for calculating the received power of a wireless signal at each wireless base station for each distance area of each bearing area at each wireless base station, acquires the measured value of received power from each wireless base station, and searches for a position on a map where an attenuation tendency indicated by the received power at each wireless base station to the transmitted power of the wireless signal that can be calculated using each of the set values of attenuation parameters set for each distance area of each wireless base station conforms to an attenuation tendency found in each of the measured values of received power acquired from each wireless base station, thereby estimating the position of a mobile terminal.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
