Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sizing agent for quartz glass fiber capable of suppressing charging of a quartz glass fiber and suppressing generation of fuzz even in a manufacturing process of the quart glass fiber and a manufacturing process of a quartz glass cloth, the quartz glass fiber or a quartz glass yarn and the quartz glass cloth with the sizing agent applied, a prepreg for a pint wired board and a product using the quartz glass fiber.SOLUTION: There is provided a sizing agent for quartz glass fiber constituted by a solution containing a cationic vinyl acetate copolymer emulsion, where a cationic vinyl acetate copolymer with weight average molecular weight of 5000 to 500000 is dispersed in water, and starch, and volume basis 50% diameter of emulsion particles of the cationic vinyl acetate copolymer emulsion is 0.1 to 5 μm.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
