Abstract:
To provide a steel beam that increases a buckling mode occurring in the steel beam, thereby making it possible to ensure sufficient plastic deformation, while inhibiting increase of strength due to strain hardening after the steel beam reaches full plastic strength.SOLUTION: A steel beam is configured by an upper flange, a lower flange, and a web coupling the upper flange and the lower flange and has an H-shaped cross section, in which a notch is formed in the upper flange and the lower flange so as to be point-symmetrical with respect to the steel beam in the cross-sectional center and be asymmetrical with respect to the steel beam in the beam width direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
