The carrier disclosed in the present specification may include: a shelf having a placement surface; and the fence is arranged at the end part of the goods shelf. Alternatively, the fence may be transitionable between a first state in which the fence is held at a first height with respect to the shelf and a second state in which the fence is held at a second height with respect to the shelf, the second height being lower than the first height. Alternatively, the angle of the fence with respect to the shelf may be the same in the first state and the second state.
