PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal mesh grinding wheel with a coolant base metal, for making through-hole in a thin to thick plate, capable of achieving improvement in grinding efficiency by minimizing grinding chip amount, increasing efficiency of coolant in the grinding wheel, increasing efficiency in discharging grinding chips and reducing grinding time.SOLUTION: A grinding wheel 7 for grinding an inner diameter of a deep hole comprises: a metal mesh cylindrical body 8, made of a metal mesh material formed into a long cylindrical shape, to a distal end surface of which, abrasive particles D are fixed; a bar-shaped coolant guide 9 including a holding part fixing an inner peripheral surface on a proximal side of the metal mesh cylindrical body, a supporting part framing an inner peripheral surface from a middle to a distal side of the metal mesh cylindrical body, using a limited clearance, and a distal end pressing part 9d holding, from the inside, a distal end abrasive grain surface of the metal mesh cylindrical body, and penetrated with a center hole h2; and a collar 10 holding the coolant guide and an outer periphery of the rear end part of the metal mesh cylindrical body.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
