Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal mesh grinding wheel with a coolant base metal, for making through-hole in a thin to thick plate, capable of achieving improvement in grinding efficiency by minimizing grinding chip amount, increasing efficiency of coolant in the grinding wheel, increasing efficiency in discharging grinding chips and reducing grinding time.SOLUTION: A metal mesh grinding wheel 2 with a coolant base metal comprises: a metal mesh cylindrical body 3, to a cylinder tip end surface and peripheral part of which, abrasive grains are fixed; a cylindrical coolant guide 4 inserted along an inner peripheral surface of the a metal mesh cylindrical body 3; a flange 5 holding the coolant guide and a rear end of the metal mesh cylindrical body, and including a center hole h2; and a collar 6, into which the outer peripheral surface of the metal mesh cylindrical body with a rear end held by the flange is inserted; wherein a protruding amount X of the coolant guide and the metal mesh cylindrical body tip 3c from the tip of collar can be adjusted by advancing/retracting the flange in a center direction O.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
