Abstract:
An adaptor with a dimming function has a load power adjustment switch for adjusting load power to be supplied from a power source to an illumination lamp for lighting the illumination lamp and a dimming control part for controlling the load power adjustment switch, and is connected between a socket connected electrically with the power source and the illumination lamp. The load power adjustment switch has two or more reverse conducting type semiconductor switches and capacitors for accumulating the magnetic energy of a current when the current is interrupted and regenerates the magnetic energy to the illumination lamp. Thus, the load power adjustment switch controls the gate phase of the reverse conducting type semiconductor switches to adjust the load power to be supplied to the illumination lamp.
