Abstract:
Disclosed is an arrangement structure for a curtain airbag capable of reducing the workload of a worker assembling a vehicle while simultaneously improving the productivity of the worker, and furthermore reliably supporting with the vehicle body the counterforce created at the time of curtain airbag deployment by the device. The configuration of the structure includes a curtain airbag (42) folded into an elongated shape, and an inflator (44) for supplying gas to said curtain airbag (42) in the event of a lateral collision, etc. Also, the structure has an airbag module (38), mounted in advance on the upper surface of side ends (12B) of a roof headliner (12). The inflator (44) is disposed directly above a central pillar (52), and a pair of front and rear mounting legs (92B) of an inflator mounting bracket (92), which is for fixing said inflator (44) to the vehicle body, extends farther in the downward direction of the vehicle than the side ends (12B) of the roof headliner (12). Furthermore, the inflator mounting bracket (92) is fixed to the central pillar (52) with the mounting legs (92B).
